GOLUS STORYTHEATRE ist eine kanadisch-deutsche Gesellschaft, die von dem Schriftsteller und Erzähler Michael Wex und dem Musiker und Komponisten Heiko Lehmann mit dem Ziel gegründet wurde, basierend auf jiddische Sprache und traditionelle jüdische Kultur neue musikalische Storytelling-Projekte zu produzieren. All diese Projekte gibt es in Englisch und Deutsch (allerdings nicht auf einmal). LEHMANN spielte u.a. bei AUFWIND, KAPELYE, CHICAGO KLEZMER ENSEMBLE, arbeitete drei Jahre an Berlins etabliertem Maxim Gorki Theater in der Produktion von Joshua Sobols "Ghetto" und schreibt und produziert Musik. WEX, Autor des Romans "Shlepping the Exile" (der im Januar '98 in Zürich in Lehmanns deutscher Übersetzung erschien), ist Schriftsteller und Erzähler. Er gilt als Kultfigur des jüdischen Storytelling in Nordamerika und tritt regelmäßig in Kanada, den USA, Deutschland und der Schweiz auf.

GOLUS STORYTHEATRE is a Canadian-German company founded by writer and storyteller Michael Wex and musician and composer Heiko Lehmann to produce original musical-storytelling projects based on Yiddish and traditional Jewish culture. All projects are done in both English and German (NOT at the same time, though).
LEHMANN (Bass, guitar, composer), formerly bassist with the well-known German klezmer group, AUFWIND, is the leader of NEW PRESUMPTION, a klezmer trio, and has also worked in Berlin's renowned Gorki Theatre in its long-running production of Joshua Sobol's Ghetto. He is also one of the directors of Berlin's Kindermusiktheater Blasebalg, for which he acts and writes music and scripts.WEX (Kalman Holzhacker), author of the novel, Shlepping the Exile, is well-known in Yiddish circles as a writer and storyteller. He was the headline performer at Toronto's first Festival of Jewish Storytelling in 1992, and makes frequent local appearances.
